Clear, colourless, odorless, syrupy liquid. Combustible and has low toxicity. Used as a solvent and as a binder for cements and mixes. Also used in special soap, lubricants, softeners, hydraulic fluid, the antifreeze mixture for emergency generators and lifeboat diesel engines.
