A system and collection of products to aid the evacuation of passengers and crew in the event of blackout conditions. One of these products is walkway matting which incorporates photoluminescent “roadway” marking. This matting can also illuminate the placement of machinery, high light the area restricted to the operator and for health and safety reasons will alleviate fatigue.
